I have a passion for fitness and helping my clients live their best lives. What started as a personal quest to change my body, mindset, and confidence quickly turned into a full-time career as a personal trainer and business owner. I can truly say that I get to do what I love every single day, and that is changing lives for a living.
I studied International Law for three years in the Ukraine but realized that it was not something I would be happy doing long term. I moved to the US in 2009 to build a better life for myself and my family, and eventually found my calling. I started personal training as a side gig around 2010, working mainly with friends initially. My client list quickly expanded and I transitioned to personal training full time in 2013. In 2017, I opened Bo-Fit Fitness Studio in North Royalton, Ohio, offering professional personal and small group training, along with group boot camp and yoga classes, for all fitness and ability levels.
For me, there is nothing better than helping my clients change their bodies and health, as well as their mood and overall outlook on life. To best support my clients, I am continuously looking for ways to improve my knowledge and skills as a personal trainer. In 2012, I became a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise and later earned an associate degree in sports and exercise studies. I have also accumulated countless certifications to include TRX instructor, Tabata boot camp instructor, and Diet and Nutrition Basics certifications. I take pride in making fitness fun, effective, and accessible, and I can train clients fluently in five languages: English, Ukrainian, German, Russian, and Sarcasm.
When I am not training others, I am working out myself. I love the process of finding out what else my body is able to do and testing my limits with a mix of heavy lifting, cardio, gymnastics, and body-weight exercises. But when I'm done working and working out, I rush home to spend as much time as I can with my wife Kate and my two boys Leon and Lucas. When the family is sleeping and I have a few minutes to myself, my little side hobby is making music on my guitar.
We all have a busy schedule. Family, kids, work, school, hobby, house... Make the most out of your time in the gym! Our workouts are quick and to the point. They are challenging enough to make your body adapt and change, yet smart and balanced to accommodate all fitness levels and minimize risk of injury.
Every workout, every movement has to have a purpose. We make sure our functional training has real world application, and transfers into real life movements. We train our clients on their feet, moving in multiple directions, using natural human movement patterns.
In the end you gotta have some fun! We want you to look forward to your workouts. That's why we always try to make new friends, invite guest trainers, include some fun games and fitness challenges, partner or team workouts... and even have a big mural on the wall "Just For Fun".
